Paint Finishing

AMD has its own internal spray facilities. The dimensions of our spray booth are length 10m width 5m height 5m which allows all manufactured items from the sheet metal and fabrication departments to be finished in various paints and colours to suit customer requirements (i.e. high build primers, enamel, gloss and Hammerite paints).

The Spray booth has been designed to give access through three large doorways, one from the sheet metal workshop and two from the fabrication workshops. This allows fork lift truck access into the spray booth through all doorways.

The 5 tonne overhead crane which is located in the fabrication shop can also be driven into, and operated from within the spray booth which allows fabrications to be supported and sprayed in-situ, maximising safety and minimising handling.
